A 38-year-old Stafford County woman who "spent her life taking care of her husband and children," according to her sister, was killed yesterday in a head-on collision on Enon Road in Stafford.
Audrey Lee-Johnson Tweedy of Stafford was headed to meet a friend to go walking about 8 a.m. when the accident happened, said Katrina Mabry, her sister and neighbor.
Tweedy was driving a 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pickup when she rounded a curve on Enon Road, said Sgt. F.L. Tyler of the Virginia State Police. A westbound vehicle, a 2007 Ford Mustang driven by a 17-year-old male, crossed the center line and struck her truck.
No charges have been placed, but Tyler said the accident is still under investigation.
Tweedy was a certified nursing assistant and wanted to become a registered nurse, her sister said. She had just started volunteering at the Moss Free Clinic in Fredericksburg, and was a member of Mount Hope Baptist Church in Spotsylvania County.
She leaves behind her husband, Aaron, and three children: Aquil, 15; Ahmad, 10; and Asya, 8.
"She loved God first, she loved her family, and she loved life," her sister said.
