Date published: 8/4/2009 Renee Mitchell Jamie "Renee" Patton Mitchell, 50, of Fredericksburg, formerly of Cedar Bluff, passed away Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009. Born June 24, 1959 in Tazewell County, she was the daughter of James R. "Jim" and Judy Plaster Patton of Cedar Bluff. She attended the Christian Outreach Church in Fredericksburg. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Bill Mitchell; one son, Brian Edward Mitchell of Fredericksburg; two brothers, Barry Patton and wife Jackie, and Mike Patton and wife Leslie, all of Cedar Bluff; two nieces, Tamar Bush and husband Tony of Lebanon, and Meagan Patton of Cedar Bluff; one nephew, James Patton of Cedar Bluff; one special great-niece, Lincoln Bush; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff, with the Rev. Norman Gallimore officiating. Entombment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at the funeral home.
