Richard Sinclair

Richard "Moe" Sinclair died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at his home in Triangle. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service, and also retired from the U.S. government.

Richard enjoyed NASCAR; he rooted for the Steelers, but enjoyed watching the Redskins. Richard enjoyed playing with his children and grandchildren, traveling, fishing and going to the county fairs.

He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Pearl Sinclair, and his brother Wilbur Sinclair.

Richard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kate Sinclair; three daughters, Diane Clark and her husband, Mike, Lisa Sinclair and her husband, Terry, and Beverly Lambert and her husband, Kirby; his son, Richard Sinclair II and his wife, Kim; two sisters, Maryanne Russell and Iola Yanello. Richard is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City. A funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Concordia Lutheran Church, 3637 Graham Park Road, Triangle, Va. 22172. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Richard Sinclair may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church.
