VDOT warns of transportation impediments

STAFFORD COUNTY

Interstate 95

Sunday-Thursday, 10 p.m.-4:30 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on I-95 southbound just south of Exit 143 (State Route 610/Garrisonville). Crews will be installing continuous traffic counters.

Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; motorists should be alert to crews working on the shoulder of I-95 southbound just south of Exit 143 (State Route 610/Garrisonville). Crews will be installing continuous traffic counters. No travel lanes will be closed.

U.S. 17

Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; crews will be mowing on northbound U.S. 17 between State Route 1800 to the Fauquier County line. This is a mobile operation and motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone.

Tuesday-Wednesday, 9 p.m.-midnight; motorists will be restricted to one lane on both northbound and southbound U.S. 17 between McLane Drive and Stafford Lakes Parkway. Crews will be testing the pavement in this area.

Friday, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; crews will be mowing on southbound U.S. 17 between State Route 750 and State Route 1706. This is a mobile operation and motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY

Interstate 95

Sunday-Thursday, 9 p.m.-4:30 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on I-95 southbound between Exit 126 (U.S. 1/Spotsylvania) and Exit 118 (State Route 606/Thornburg.) Crews are milling and paving in this area. Expect delays.

Monday-Wednesday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.; one lane will be closed to traffic on I-95 southbound just north of Exit 130 (State Route 3/Fredericksburg). Crews will be installing a weather station at the I-95 bridge over the Rappahannock River, just north of the Welcome Center.

State Route 208

Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; motorists should be alert to crews working along the shoulder on State Route 208 and on various other secondary roads in the vicinity of State Route 208. This is a mobile operation and motorists may experience brief delays in the work zone.

State Route 639 (Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue ongoing construction)

Monday-Friday, motorists are reminded to be alert to construction crews and equipment working along the shoulder of Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue as work continues on the Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue widening project. The estimated completion date for this project is summer 2011.
