Boycotting Obama's school speech: Is 'ignorance' 'strength'?
Boycotting Obama's school speech: Is 'ignorance' 'strength'?

Recently, the president spoke to the youth in our country. While not political in nature, the speech was boycotted before the president's words were even uttered.
Not only were they ignored, but they were ignored by the use of lies, disrespect, and prejudice.
Children are malleable and moldable; they make decisions based on what they hear, read, and see. An education instills multiple perspectives so that people can make their own decisions.
In order to assist our youth, it is important to give them truthful information. It is one thing to disagree with politics; it is quite another to abuse a reputation out of false information.
As adults and responsible citizens, it is our duty to stay informed. Fox News, MSNBC, and other extreme TV programs are sources of entertainment, not news. News is fact, not editorial.
George Orwell wrote a magnificent book titled "1984." This piece of literature is a cautionary tale against Big Brother and other forms of oppression. Big Brother's mantra is "War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength."
What can ignorance achieve? Is it responsible for "news sources" to tell us to stay ill-informed? Who are we warning our children about, and who is Big Brother?
Censorship and its darkness should never be tolerated in such a free society.

the guys who molded young minds according to official government policy were hung at Nuremberg. And that was only a small part of their job, unlike you Professor Chiswald who do that as a full time job..but what the heck, the "fairness doctrine" is only applied by the winners and if losers do it then they are pitiful crybabies..
Write a song for the children in New Jersey Professor..oh I forgot..they already have one. OH OH Obama is great, a gift from above...halleluja halleluja
Spoooooky Mandrake....Oh so SCAAAAARY!

to view the world through the prevailing prism selected by politicians. Party affiliation of the perpetrator is irrelevant.
There should be no songs praising Obama, Bush or anyone else in grade school or any grade until the empty little brains have the ability to reason and come to rational conclusions.
Think About it

The dems trashed Bush Senior. Here is a man who devoted his entire life to public services "ACTUALLY SERVED' in the military and got elected as president and vice president. Some idiots dissed his speach to school kids. You would think ignorant aholes would have learned from that and not do the same thing to Obama. America is full of ignorance. If you think that is an unpatriotic statement, I don't care, ignorance abounds in this nation.
