EVENT OFFERS HELP TO CAREGIVERS
The Alzheimer's Association is hosting a conference Oct. 21 for people caring for someone with dementia. The conference will be held at the Ladysmith branch of the Caroline County Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Topics include behavior and caregiver stress. Attendees can apply to receive up to eight hours of free respite care for their loved one. Advance registration for the conference is required, and the fee is $10. RACSB TO HOST OPEN HOUSES
The Rappahannock Area Community Services Board will host a series of open houses in October to educate the public about its services, which include helping those with substance-abuse problems, intellectual disabilities and mental illnesses.
