SPOTSYLVANIA LITTLE LEAGUE

Volcanoes 8, Bulls 2

Sept. 23 at Lee Hill Park

Spencer Breivik struck out nine batters and only walked one in pitching five innings to earn the victory. Michael Mullins had an unassisted double play to end an inning. Harrison Dishman led the hitting with an RBI triple. Ryan LaBaw reached base both times he got up, and scored two runs on his birthday. Noah Breivik went two for two with a walk and scored two runs, as well.

SENIOR

Panthers 32, Jets 0

Sept. 12 at Battlefield Middle

The Panthers displayed great play in all phases of the game. They were led on offense by quarterbackMatthew Knowles, who threw for one touchdown and ran in another. Playing great defense were Cullen Stapleton, Josh Koontz and Alex Glass. Cullen had three interceptions and scored a touchdown rushing on offense.

Panthers 38, Rams 12

Sept. 22 at Legion Field

Led by the offensive line of Bryce Brown, Justin Jones, James Duncan, Josh Koontz and Hunter Heflin, the Panthers scored all six touchdowns on the ground. C.J. Lewis had three; E.J. Peak, two, and Matthew Knowles added another. The Panthers also played great team defense. They swarmed to the ball and only gave up two touchdowns.

Fredericksburg White Colt 27, Caroline Bulldogs 12

Sept. 19 at Colonial Beach High School

The offensive line allowing 194 rushing yards, with touchdowns by Bryce Webb, Andrew McGrady, and Keandre Mewborn's extra points. Solid defense, led by Roshun Patterson, Kahwon Davis, Keandre Mewborn and Bryce Webb, secured the victory.

VARSITY

Fredericksburg Orange Colts 14, Fredericksburg White Colts 6

Sept. 19 at Colonial Beach High School

Gary Boxley scored a touchdown on a 50-plus-yard run. Daren Smith scored the other touchdown on a short run. Kevin Stephens had a great catch. Very strong showing by the offensive line. Defense held strong all day long, with good performances by Reed Bowling, Shane Lucas, Damon Watson, Gary Boxley and Jaren Jackson.
