Virginia L. Henderson
Date published: 10/10/2009 Virginia L. Henderson Virginia Louise Henderson, formerly of Lake of the Woods, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, at age 87. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Flaig of Fairfax Station; her son, Scott E. Henderson of Carlisle, Mass.; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Lee Meyer of Ann Arbor, Mich.; sister-in-law Elma Henderson of Stockton, Calif; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Henderson was an elementary school teacher and school librarian. She served on the Orange County library board and was instrumental in obtaining funding for construction of the Wilderness Branch Library. Interment will be private and for family only at Culpeper National Cemetery. Donations may be made to LOW Fire and Rescue, 104 Lakeview Parkway, Locust Grove, Va. 22508.
