Army 2nd Lt. John M. Saunders received his commission after successfully completing the Army ROTC program and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Virginia Military Institute. He is the son of Donna Saunders and David Saunders, both of Fredericksburg, and is a 2005 graduate of James Monroe High School.

Army Reserve Sgt. Justin S. Garrett has returned to the U.S. after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is the son of Jeffery O. Garrett of Corbin and Shirley J. Blackwell of Orange and is a 2007 graduate of Orange County High School.

Air Force 2nd Lt. John M. Saunders received his commission after completing the Air Force ROTC program and graduating with a bachelor's degree from Virginia Military Institute. He is the son of David Saunders and Donna Saunders, both of Fredericksburg, and is a 2005 graduate of James Monroe High School.

Air Force Airman Erich A. Stein has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Sherri Stein of King George and is a 2007 graduate of Fredericksburg Christian School.

Air Force Airman Brandon T. Pritt has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Pamela and Ronnie Menefee of Culpeper and is a 2008 graduate of Madison County High School.
