LaBravia Jenkins has the best skills in town

LaBravia Jenkins has the best skills in town

I am a concerned voter and family law attorney who practiced in the city and county courts as a litigator for 15 years. I am now at home with my son, doing part-time law work.

It is almost impossible to really judge the two current candidates unless you have had the opportunity to either litigate cases against them or sit in court and watch them litigate their own cases.

It requires experience, poise, a mastery of strategy, and above all else, a mastery of a specific practice area of the law to be an effective litigator.

Fredericksburg Commonwealth's Attorney LaBravia Jenkins has those years of experience, specifically as a prosecutor. This job requires experience, good trial skills, and strategy.

I have seen both candidates litigate cases; I can say as an observer and a lawyer that LaBravia Jenkins is by far the more highly skilled litigator.

She employs strategy that only experienced litigators have the finesse to know when to employ. She employs trial skills that only with experience do you know when to use.

She employs poise that only an experienced prosecutor has the comfort level to employ at the right time in a case.

These are skills that only experience can teach.

LaBravia Jenkins has all the skills to make me feel safe. We have a prosecutor who can handle her job, no question.

Hicks caught lying with numbers (posted by rjones45 , Oct. 23, 2009 6:20 pm)
Hicks was exposed last night when he lied about the CA office having 18 mistrials. That office didn't even do 18 juries in a year, how could there be 18 jury mistrials. Call the clerk's office and ask how many to verify yourself. Then ask if Hicks is lying about this, what else is this frat boy lying about? Hicks also was exposed as the partying frat boy that everyone knows him as.

Mrs. Jenkins was exposed with facts (posted by acquaintance , Oct. 23, 2009 2:08 pm)
28 mistrials in last 12 months, leading to 50% drop rate for all felonies. Stafford, w/ 2x the caseload, had zero in same timeframe. She claimed to lose the Eura prelim hearing on purpose, out of “strategy”, she forgot to share w/ the investigating officers, to protect a witness. Then, had no answer or explanation for her strategy to let same witness testify before a mistrial was declared; because, she is sucha “polished” trial attorney, she forgot to select extra jurors for multi-day murder trial.Scary.

My, my Mr. Jones...is this what you do all day?

LaBravia Jenkins is more connected (posted by UberMensch , Oct. 23, 2009 12:09 pm)
Ms. Jenkins has a better touch-of-reality with citizens in Fredericksburg. She has done such a such a good job thus far in her post, why wouldn't all not wish for her to continue? There is no valid argument against her as the better candidate. She has my vote!

I couldn't agree more!! (posted by myperspective , Oct. 23, 2009 8:39 am)
I saw both candidates debate last night. Mr. Hicks had little to offer. He spoke mainly about his family's accomplishments as he seems to have few of his own. Mrs. Jenkins clearly articulated her skills, her experience, and her plans to continue effectively running her office. Residents must vote responsibly and re-elect Mrs. Jenkins.
