Two neighbors have filed additional objections to the issuance of permits by Westmoreland County for the construction of an O'Gara security training base near Montross.
In their appeal to the county's Board of Zoning Appeals, Wilber Dameron and Lisa M. Clark, both of Montross, claim that work at the O'Gara site should have stopped Sept. 19, when another BZA appeal was filed in the O'Gara case.
Work at the site has continued, and the county has continued issuing and approving permits for the project, Dameron and Clark said in their appeal filed last week.
County Zoning Administrator Robert Fink said yesterday that the county has issued occupancy permits for modular classrooms and administrative buildings at the site. He said county inspectors have not yet issued final approvals and occupancy permits for three shooting ranges on the site.
Fink said he hopes the BZA will hear both challenges to the O'Gara project at its Nov. 23 meeting.
The Westmoreland Circuit Court has set no hearing dates on three lawsuits filed against the O'Gara project.
