Fredericksburg-area governments announce meeting schedules

FREDERICKSBURG
The School Board meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 715 Princess Anne St. The board holds a one-hour closed session, and the open meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.
City planners will hold an informational meeting Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall to seek public comment on a proposed draft of a preservation plan for the city.
SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY
The Planning Commission meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Holbert Building on Courthouse Road. Commissioners will hold a public hearing on creating a tree protection ordinance and an amendment to the sign ordinance.
The School Board meets at 8:30 a.m. Friday for a work session on next year's budget at the Administrative Services Building, 8020 River Stone Drive.
STAFFORD COUNTY
The Planning Commission meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the board chambers of the County Administration Building. A work session will take place prior to the meeting, at 5:30 p.m.
The Historical Commission meets at 3 p.m. Thursday in Conference Room A/B/C of the County Administration Building.

Supervisor Wayne Acors is holding two community meetings this week: at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow at Ladysmith Branch Library for Ladysmith Village residents and at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lake Land'Or.
KING GEORGE COUNTY
The Board of Supervisors meets at 6 p.m. Thursday in the board room of the Revercomb Administration Center.
ORANGE COUNTY
The School Board meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Gordon-Barbour Elementary School, 500 W. Baker St., Gordonsville.
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Gordon Building, 112 W. Main St., Orange.
TOWN OF ORANGE
The Town Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday in the Town of Orange Community Center, 235 Warren St., Orange.
CULPEPER COUNTY
The Board of Supervisors meets at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the County Administration Building at 302 N. Main St. for general county business. Supervisors will reconvene at 7 p.m. to take up planning matters.
WESTMORELAND
The Planning Commission meets at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the auditorium of the A.T. Johnson Alumni Museum, 18849 Kings Highway, Montross. The commission will hold public hearings on a rezoning and on the construction of a new house within the 100-foot buffer area of the Chesapeake Bay Act.
The Board of Supervisors meets at 7 p.m. Monday at Washington District Elementary School in Oak Grove to hold a public hearing about the expansion of the Washington District sewer system to areas south of Mattox Creek.
COLONIAL BEACH
The Planning Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Town Center to hold a public hearing about the town's new comprehensive plan.
