Charles K. Schenemann

Charles "Kenny" Schenemann, 67, of Stafford County was carried home by Jesus on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009. He passed peacefully at Mary Washington Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kenny was a lifelong resident of Stafford and a recent retiree from Stafford County public schools as a master plumber. He was a member of Canaan's Faith Church of God and the Patawomeck Indian Tribe. Kenny was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his children, Mark Schenemann and his wife, Libby, Darren Schenemann and his wife, Myra, and Robin Schenemann and his wife, Pam; his two brothers, Mickey Schenemann and Keith Custalow; his beloved grandchildren, Dean, Christy, Reba, Matthew, Carla, Jacob and Connie Schenemann; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson Schenemann and Evan Salter.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Doris Sullivan Schenemann, and his mother, Elizabeth Newton Custalow.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Canaan's Faith Church of God with the Rev. Tim Dobson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
