Fighting against wet conditions and a determined Thornburg team, Battlefield played its best game of the season. Late in the second half, Katie White took a free kick and sent it perfectly into the box, where forward Shaye Smith drove home a header for the only goal of the game. Shaye Smith, Emilee D'Amour and Kayla Travis led a superb offense. Jordan Bache, Katie White and Baley McGraw dominated the midfield. Anchoring defense were Logan Wolfe, Lauren Mussey, Dolce Lindsey and Anna Jent. Outstanding contributions from Clare Lamph, Kayla Carbee, Hannah Lack and Claire King helped the Warriors stay in control.
