Many thanks for all who helped my campaign

I want to thank the many people who provided assistance in my recent campaign for Aquia supervisor in Stafford County. Their hard work and support was greatly appreciated.

I also want to thank all the voters of Stafford who showed their concern for the future of our state and county by voting.

While my campaign fell short of victory, our effort was not in vain.

The campaign raised important issues, set a new standard for "clean money" politics, and shined a light on aspects of Stafford's political life that some in power would rather have remain hidden.

All of those are useful in promoting a healthier democratic system.

Congratulations to Paul Milde and all the winners of the Nov. 3 election.

With the luxury of a clear 5-2 majority, the new Board of Supervisors now has the responsibility to address the many pressing issues facing the county.

I wish the board success in their endeavors, and I hope they use their positions wisely in caring for the concerns of all residents.

Finally, I am greatly encouraged by all the many wonderful people I had a chance to meet during the campaign. They are the future of Stafford County.

As long as citizens work together, continue to be active, and speak up for what is right, the future of this county will be in good hands.

Paul Ortiz

Hmm... not sure what you are saying.. (posted by Grumpy1 , Nov. 12, 2009 7:11 am)
First let's set the record straight. Fund rasing efforts by the cadidates was a direct response to the hard work they had done for the citizens of the county, not as a result of wrongdoing as it was suggested. I gave funds to one that I believe in from another district. Who has demonstrated a willingness to say NO to the previous regime. Do not insinuate any wrongdoing. If Paul Ortiz had credible evidence, it would have become a legal matter. Smoke, mirrors and inuendo don't cut it. here

about what beat you? i had wondered if some of your campaign tactic came from your supporters. i now know they come from you and like hilliard before you you made a fatal mistake. unlike her you still hold onto it with this "set a new standard for "clean money" politics, and shined a light on aspects of Stafford's political life that some in power would rather have remain hidden." the voters heard you and sent you a clear message back.
