Date published: 11/12/2009 Virginia spoke, Mr. Obama; did you hear? Congratulations, Virginians. My faith has been renewed. The moderates and conservatives who are the majority of Virginians came out of the closets to be heard around the nation. I'm sure President Obama can get back on track; all he has to do is completely reverse his positions on health care, Iran, terrorist prisoners, and Afghanistan. He will become the kind of FDR he is striving for, with help from the moderates and Republican voters. James Roach Colonial Beach

because I know GOD likes to toke on a number now and then because he finds us very perplexing...so a few puffs and he tolerates us. So it would be silly to believe that he would appear as a guy who doesn't even know what a pot plant looks like and has never rolled a doobie!

There would be alot of people freaking out. But your post reminded me of how funny the concept of god being a man or woman really is. I suspect that the creator of the universe, if it exists, doesn't have a sex. Who would it reproduce with? Why does it need a sex? People and their literal interpretation of mythology just amazes me. Religion is man made and was a means to control primitive people centuries ago. That people still subscribe to the superstition that they do is nothing short of amazing.

I spoke to my local witch doctor about this. He said "oooh eee ooohh ahhh ahhh oooh eee walla walla bing bang!" I didn't get it either, but it has as much to do with government and the subject of this post as these God of the Bible (whichever version that is) posts. Please, keep your superstitions to yourself and stick with the facts!

I think a lot of people didn't vote because it was a choice of either a crap sandwich or a crap sandwhich with a pickle, to put it bluntly. I voted, but it was almost a coin toss. In the end, McDonnell won because he had SOMETHING to offer other than to simply attack his opponent. But both of you bring up good points and your back and forth has been amusing. Perhaps both of you should run next time-give us something to choose from besides the same pandering a@#holes.
