Margaret Shipp

Margaret Bernice Nagle Shipp, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at Mary Washington Hospital.

She was born Feb. 24, 1922, in Washington, D.C., and lived in Hyattsville, Md. Baltimore and Northern Virginia before moving to Fredericksburg, residing at Chancellor's Village and the Golden LivingCenter.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Walter M. Shipp.

She is survived by her children: Christina Sheffield, Victoria Paulson, Fredric Shipp and Leslie Shipp; and two grandchildren, Colleen Boxwell and Margaret Sheffield. She is also survived by her sister, Cecelia Dailey and her family; her brother, James Nagle and his family; and her sister-in-law, Rosalie Fratoni and her family.

A private graveside service was held at Fairfax Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Little Sisters of the Poor, 4200 Harewood Road, N.E., Washington, D.C., 20017.

Arrangements were handled by Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, Fairfax.
