Three people, including a 16-year-old boy, were arrested after a food delivery man was robbed at knife-point late Monday in Stafford, police said.
Stafford Sheriff's spokesman Bill Kennedy said police were still looking for a fourth suspect in the incident in Stafford Lakes off U.S. 17. They are also investigating the possibility that the incident is related to the knife-point robbery of a Domino's Pizza delivery driver early Saturday in England Run North, a couple of miles away.
According to Kennedy, a driver for China King went to an address on Emerald Drive about 10:19 p.m. to deliver an order. When he drove up, four males were standing next to the mailbox. They surrounded the driver when he got out of his vehicle with the food, and one of them placed a blade against the right side of his stomach and demanded money.
The victim resisted slightly when one suspect tried to take his wallet out of his back pocket. The suspects then ran off with the food but without the wallet.
The victim called the Sheriff's Office, and Deputy David Holmes met the visibly shaken man on Emerald Drive. During the ensuing search, police were informed that the Domino's on Warrenton Road had called police earlier in the evening regarding a "suspicious" call from the same number.
Police tracked the call to a home on Stonehaven Drive in Stafford Lakes and found three suspects. Christopher Small, 20, of Stafford, Deshaun Edwards, 18, of Woodbridge and a 16-year-old boy were all charged with armed robbery.
Small and Edwards were placed in the Rappahannock Regional Jail. The boy was placed in the Rappahannock Juvenile Detention Center.
Early Saturday, three people robbed a Domino's delivery driver on Foggy Field Lane in England Run North. The victim was robbed at knife-point after delivering food to a residence that turned out to be unoccupied.
Two young men and a young woman were involved in that heist. Money and pizza were among the items stolen.
