Coach Rich Serbay is a leader with class

As a former football player at James Monroe High School and the father of a current player, I want to express my respect and admiration for coach Rich Serbay.

He showed class and dignity in dealing with an extremely difficult situation regarding the use of an ineligible player.

Knowing how this would affect his team, school, and community, he displayed the fortitude that has made him one of the greatest coaches in Virginia high school history. He reported the incident to the Virginia High School League.

During the game against Courtland, the JM faithful chanted Coach Serbay's name as we stood as one.

I can't think of anyone else I would rather have coaching, teaching, and mentoring my son. Coach Serbay truly is a great man.
