Kennith Ray "K.J." Rowe Jr., 19, of Fredericksburg died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009.

Kennith was a member of Berea Baptist Church. He graduated from Mountain View High School, had attended Ferrum College and was enrolled at Germanna Community College.

K.J. loved soccer and had been playing since he was 5 years old. He played with McLean Thunder-Premier.

Survivors include his mother, Sandra Lockard and her husband, Matthew; his father, Kennith Rowe Sr. and his wife, Sherri; his step-brother, Michael Lockard; his maternal grandfather, Jr. Watson; his aunt, Melissa Dodson; his maternal grandparents, Bobby and Roberta Lockard; his paternal grandmother, Garnet Stacy; numerous aunts and uncles; his girlfriend, Holly Roach; and his best friend, Brennan Huelse. He was preceded in death by his Memaw, Mary Watson; and his cousin, Kortney Tierra Dodson.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, with the Rev. Scott Covington officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Brennan Huelse, Taylor Cobb, Nick Kime, Matt Epperly, Justin Harrison and Chris Pressey.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home.
