Dora M. Coakley

Mrs. Dora Marie Coakley, 78, of Falmouth passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010. She was the widow of Melvin Coakley, and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Burton Satterwhite.

She is survived by her sister, Lillian Gordon of Stafford County; two daughters, Tina Muth and her husband, Joel, Dora's special son, of Falmouth, and Deborah Beveridge and her husband, Rodney, of Spotsylvania County; and five sons, David Coakley and his wife, Anita, of Falmouth, Michael Coakley and his wife, Michelle, of Spotsylvania, Melvin R. Coakley II and his wife, Deborah, of Spotsylvania, Ricky Satterwhite of Stafford and Clarence Satterwhite of Fredericksburg. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Melannie, John, Don, Taryn, Brittany, Zachary, Janica, David Jr., Alycia, Emma and Brianna; 10 great-grandchildren, Austin T., Carly, Alyssa, Mackenzie, Austin S., Makayla, Darian, Tessa, Haley and Jason; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Coakley was a lifelong member of Falmouth United Methodist Church.

Her remains rest at Mullins & Thompson, Stafford Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 26, and where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, with the Rev. Gail Dietze officiating. Interment will follow in Stafford Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Steven Satterwhite, Rodney Beveridge, Don Snellings Jr., Dean Maslock Jr., John Muth and David Coakley Jr.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Dora's memory to Falmouth United Methodist Church.
