SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY

Zion Hill Baptist Church, 10411 Cooktown Road, in celebration of Missionary Annual Day, will hold a "walk for life" Walk-A-Thon Oct. 9 in commemoration of Dr. Janette Lewis. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. Fee is $25 and includes a shirt. The walk begins at 9 a.m., and goes for of a mile. There will also be testimonies from breast cancer survivors and a brief talk by a representative of the bone marrow donor program. Prizes and gifts will be awarded.

Goshen Baptist Church, 9800 Gordon Road, will hold Annual Homecoming tomorrow after the conclusion of the 11 a.m. service, with lunch served on the grounds. 540/786-7500.

Hebron Baptist Church, 11000 Hebron Church Road, will celebrate Annual Homecoming tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. The Singing Policeman, Danny Figgins, will begin the service with half an hour of special music, followed by Sunday services and a fellowship time with a meal. Fall Revival will be held Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m. nightly.

Wilderness Baptist Church, 9701 Plank Road, will hold a Fall Festival Oct. 9, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., with moon bounce, cake sale, crafts, Chinese auction, cake walk, hayrides, rummage sale, food, silent auction, puppet shows and live entertainment by Bob Stone and the Virginia Gospel Singers. Sylvannah Baptist Church, 8400 Courthouse Road, will observe Deacon and Deaconess Annual Day tomorrow at 3 p.m. Guests for the occasion will be the Rev. Kenneth Davis, pastor of St. Luke Baptist Church of Frog Level, and choir and congregation. A fellowship meal will be served following morning worship.

Spotsylvania Church of God, 12240 Five Mile Road, will hold a Word Connection Service tomorrow at 6 p.m. spotsychurchofgod.com.

New Life in Christ Church, 11925 Burgess Lane, will hold a Biblical Imagination Seminar with Michael Card, Oct. 8, 7-8:30 p.m., and Oct. 9, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. with a concert Saturday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Costs are $48 for church members, $58 for non-members, $78 for materials that include a new album and book to be mailed in February, and $15 for concert only. 540/786-4848; nlicc.org.
