FAITH COMMUNITY NOTES Date published: 5/14/2011 By Peggy Carlson SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY Second New Hope Baptist Church, 3836 Summit Crossing Road, will hold their Women's Day program tomorrow at 11:15 a.m., with special guest, Dr. Naomi Franklin from Pilgrim Journey Baptist Church in Richmond. She is also a professor in the school of theology at Virginia Union University. The Men of Zion Chorus, of Zion Hill Baptist Church, 10411 Cooktown Road, will celebrate its first anniversary tomorrow at 3:30 p.m., under the direction of Ashley Catlett-Greene and Joseph Edwards. Various men's choirs from area churches will provide the music. Greater Love Ministries, at the Econo Lodge, 5321, Jefferson Davis Highway, will celebrate Women's Day tomorrow at the 11 a.m. service with Minister Angie Lewis as worship leader. Guest speaker will be Minister Linda Parker of Tree of Life Ministries in Clinton, Md. Olivet United Methodist Church, 7676 Stubbs Bridge Road, will hold a barbecue chicken dinner May 21, 4-7 p.m., eat in or carry out, featuring chicken, potato salad, corn on the cob, roll and dessert. The Church of Restoration Ministries, 420 Hudgins Road, near Shirlie Slack Motors, will welcome overseer Sylvia Cunningham of Ecclesia Worship Center as guest preacher tomorrow at the Women's Day program at 3:30 p.m. Prayer and praise begin promptly at 3 p.m., with the Signs of Praise. Spotswood Baptist Church, 4009 Lafayette Blvd., will hold a preview class on Wednesday, 6:30-8 p.m., in Mobile Unit 12, for Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.
