Kick returner Brandon Banks (left knee), cornerback DeAngelo Hall (back), tight ends Chris Cooley (left knee) and Logan Paulsen (hamstring), receiver Donte Stallworth (shoulder) and long snapper Nick Sundberg (hand) were also listed as questionable, though all participated fully. Linebacker Keyaron Fox (back) was limited in practice but was listed as probable.
As for Arizona, starting linebacker Daryl Washington, who injured his calf late in the fourth quarter of a victory over Carolina last Sunday, is listed as questionable, as are backup running back LaRod Stephens-Howling (hand) and receiver DeMarco Sampson (hamstring). Linebacker Joey Porter (knee) is probable, as is punter Dave Zastudil (calf), while cornerback Crezdon Butler (ankle) and tight end Jim Dray (pectoral) are out.
Tim Hightower played all but two of the Redskins' offensive plays against the Giants and had all but one carry, with rookie Roy Helu taking the other. That left Ryan Torain, the team's leading rusher from a year ago, as the odd man out. Torain, recovering from a broken left hand sustained early in training camp, did not play at all. "It's just situational," Kyle Shanahan said. "It will be different every week. It usually comes up from a schematic standpoint. Sometimes it's an injury standpoint, but all those things play into it."
New York Giants cornerback Antrel Rolle was fined $20,000 by the league yesterday for spearing Redskins tight end Fred Davis during the team's season opener. Davis had to slide to catch a 7-yard pass thrown by quarterback Rex Grossman on third-and-9 with 8:12 remaining in the fourth quarter when Rolle drove his helmet into Davis' midsection. The 15-yard penalty kept the Redskins' drive alive, and the team scored its final touchdown three minutes later when Grossman found Jabar Gaffney on a 4-yard pass.
