Charles H. Watts, 84, of Milford went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011.

Born in the Upper Zion area of Caroline County, he was a faithful member of Salem Baptist Church in Sparta. He farmed for many years and had retired from Al Collins Chevrolet in Milford.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Margaret L. Watts; three children, Margaret Adams of Texas, Gary H. Watts and his wife, Joyce, of Milford and Teresa Surles and her husband, Doug, of Milford; four sisters, Hilda Wright of Newport News, Alice Crawford of Richmond and Betty Williams and Marjorie Pitts, both of Milford; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, at Salem Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bowling Green. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
