Michael Darrell Donahue, 55, of Pinewood, S.C., departed this earth on Thursday, April 5, 2012, to join his Heavenly Father; his big brother, Terry Donahue; and his father, Herndon Donahue.

Michael fought a short battle with a cancer of unknown origin. He was at the home of his sister, Betty (and Dennis) Bailey, in Lashmeet, W.Va., and surrounded by his family, when God called our baby brother home to be with Him.

He leaves behind one beautiful daughter, Ashley Nichole Donahue, and her mother, Tammy Lockhart, both of Pinewood S.C.; his beloved mother, Ellen Donahue of Lashmeet; his sisters, Linda (and Jackie) Burdette and Mae Donahue, all of Lashmeet; his brothers, Joe (and Diane) Donahue of Camp Creek, W.Va., Jimmie (and Wanda) Donahue of Princeton, W.Va., and Kenneth Donahue of Tennessee. He had many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Michael's last wishes were to be cremated. The family held a memorial service Saturday evening, April 7, celebrating his life and remembering the sunshine, joy and happiness he brought to their lives. God may have you now baby brother, but you will be forever in our hearts.

This service of celebration was held in the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton, W.Va. The Rev. Ralph Calfee officiated.
