(Update) Wednesday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; crews will be placing stone along the shoulder on U.S. 301 southbound from the north end of the Rappahannock River Bridge to just south of State Route 3. Motorists will encounter alternating lane closures in the work zone.

STAFFORD COUNTY

State Route 610 at Mine Road

The project will add turn lanes to Mine Road and on State Route 610 at the intersection. Expect periodic delays and lane closures during daylight hours. The project is expected to be completed by July.

State Route 610 at Aquia Creek

This bridge rehabilitation project is under way. The bridge is located just west of Joshua Road. Expect single lane closures during daylight hours. In May, temporary traffic signals will be installed to maintain a single lane of traffic across the structure. The project is expected to be completed by August.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY

State Route 3 widening project

This widening project of State Route 3 is located between Chewning Lane and Gordon Road. Estimated completion is July.

State Route 208 (Spotsylvania County Bypass Project Phase II)

Road improvement project from just west of the Ta River to just east of the Po River near Lake Anna. Estimated completion is February 2013.

State Route 208 bridge over Lake Anna

Construction continues in the eastbound lane on State Route 208 bridge over Lake Anna. A temporary signal maintains one-lane traffic on the structure. Estimated completion is December.

Mine Road/Lansdowne Road (Spotsylvania County Project)

Construction continues in the vicinity of the Mine Road/Lansdowne Road intersection. Expect delays and traffic-pattern changes during daylight hours.

State Route 639 at Massaponax Creek

Repair work is under way at the State Route 639 bridge over Massaponax Creek. Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment in this area. All travel lanes will be open to traffic.
