Janet Moore Atkins, 54, of Tappahannock departed this life Monday, June 11, 2012.

She is survived by her parents, Aubrey and Shirley Moore of Chase City; her brothers, Gary and Jeff Moore of Chase City; her sister, Ann Barfield of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; her "precious angels," Ashley B. Gee of Virginia Beach and John D. Atkins of Tappahannock; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Howertons Baptist Church, with a reception to follow. Marks-Bristow Funeral Home, Tappahannock, is handling the arrangements.
