Mary E. Simensen, 84, of Colonial Beach passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at home.

Mary was a homemaker and longtime member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, where she was involved in many activities.

Mary is survived by a son, Charles K. Simensen Jr., and his wife, Joni, of Colonial Beach; four grandchildren, Becky Dye, Lisa Watkins and her spouse, Andy, Aaron Fisher and Cameron Simensen; and a great-granddaughter, Ella Watkins.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles K. Simensen Sr.; and a daughter, Lynn S. Dye.

Mary's family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, Colonial Beach.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22, at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Colonial Beach, with the Rev. Vincent DeRosa officiating.

Interment will follow in Historyland Memorial Park King George.
