In the summer, there's something glorious about a rooftop patio. Here are three hotels with rooftops that you can enjoy even if you aren't a guest.
Tallahassee: From the rooftop of the Hotel Duval, you can see the Florida Capitol and downtown Tallahassee. The Level 8 Lounge, a hip nightspot located on the terrace, is open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., where you can enjoy a cocktail, tapas and, of course, panoramic views of the sunsets.

Marrakech, Morocco: From the terrace of La Sultana, a hotel just steps inside the medina, there are breathtaking views of the city, including the Koutoubia Mosque and the town square. The elegant tables and well-stocked bar makes this a great place to dine or lounge with a cocktail after visiting the nearby Saadian Tombs, a 16th century mausoleum and UNESCO heritage site discovered in 1917. The tombs, which also can be seen from the terrace, house the corpses of the Saadi Dynasty that ruled Morocco from 1554 to 1659.

Boston: From the top of the Colonnade Hotel in Boston's historic Back Bay, you can not only see the city, there are times when you can see a concert. The rooftop pool is the site of a the hotel's concert series that has seen performances by artists such as Sara Bareilles and Bush. Visit the website for concert information. While open to the public Monday through Friday, there is a fee to use the pool. And because it's a popular Boston haunt, call the hotel first to check for availability.
