Harvey Lee Brewer Jr., 79, of Fredericksburg went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 30, 2012.

Mr. Brewer was a member of Ferry Farm Baptist Church. He was an Air Force veteran, having served in the Korean War. He had retired as a traffic manager for the federal government after 42 years of service.

Survivors include son David Lee Brewer and his wife, Kimberly, of Fredericksburg, and their sons, Benjamin David Brewer, Jared David Brewer and Christian David Brewer; son Carl Lee Brewer and daughter-in-law Suellen Brewer of Jacksonville, Fla., and their daughter, Kathryn Brooke Brewer; sister Sallie Brewer Dellinger of Portsmouth; two special nephews, Michael Wayne Dellinger and George Wesley Dellinger III, both of Portsmouth; numerous nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Mary T. Brewer.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at Ferry Farm Baptist Church. Inurnment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
