Nellie Virginia Warren, born Oct. 24, 1933, in Culpeper to the late Eastham and Sarah Brown, was called home and entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 30, 2012.

Mrs. Warren was preceded in death by her husband, Alex V. Warren, and grandson Justin.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Cedric and Keith (Carolyn) Warren; sisters Mary (Andrew) McClain, Ella Diggs and Beatrice Warren; grandchildren Ashlea, Marcus, Brandiss and Alexis Warren; a devoted niece, Sanya Ham; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and countless dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 11, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 206 New York Ave. N.W., Washington D.C. 20001. A repast will immediately follow Mass in the Holy Redeemer parish hall.

In lieu of flowers, Nellie requested that donations be made in her name to Holy Redeemer Building Fund, Holy Redeemer Church; or SHARE Food Network at sharedc.org.
