Landon Michael Heath, 6, and Brayden Allen Berg, 4, died together on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at their home.
Landon was born in 2006 in Winchester, the son of David Heath of Middletown and Shannon Jenkins of Winchester. He was a first-grade student at Frederick Douglass Elementary School. In addition to his parents, he is survived by stepparents Jamie Jenkins of Winchester and Dana Melton of Middletown; and a stepbrother, Landon Larsen of Middletown.
Brayden was born in 2007 in Winchester, the son of Jamie and Shannon Jenkins. He was a rising kindergarten student at Frederick Douglass Elementary School.
The brothers are also survived by an uncle, Matt DeHaven; and their grandparents, Donna Dodson of Berryville, Allen Berg of Inwood, W.Va., Perry and Jo Ann Ham of Colonial Beach and James Jenkins of Winchester. A grandparent, Gordon Dodson, is deceased.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the Winchester Church of God, with Minister Roy Riley officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Omps Funeral Home, 1600 Amherst St., Winchester, Va. 22601, to assist the family with burial expenses.
