Betty Iola Robinson Banks, 79, formerly of Spotsylvania County departed this life peacefully on Aug. 28, 2012, in Riverdale, Ga.

She was a member of Piney Branch Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Anthony Banks and Frank Banks of Spotsylvania and Robert Banks of Mission Veijo, Calif.; three daughters, Barbara (Raymond Jr.) Hill of Spotsylvania, Mechelle (Stephen) Stanton of Riverdale and Kelly (Jeffrey) Williams of Palmetto, Ga.; two brothers, Robert Robinson of Washington; and Edward Robinson of Charlottesville; one sister, Jean Oliver of Washington, DC; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral will be held at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, at Piney Branch Baptist Church. Viewing will take place one hour before service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
