James Edward Hill, 92, of Center Cross departed this life on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at The Carrington Place in Tappahannock.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Angel Visit Baptist Church, Dunnsville, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.

A service will be Saturday, Sept. 1, at 2 p.m. at Angel Visit Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Carla Lightfoot officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
