Joy and Bill Bushman of Spotsylvania County celebrated their 50th anniversary on Aug. 25, 2012. They were married Aug. 25, 1962, at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Silver Springs, Md.

The couple have two sons, Scott and his wife, Ginger, and Mark and his wife, Kimberly; and one granddaughter, Erin Bushman.

They celebrated the year with a family trip to Disney World, a family cruise, and a small family dinner party.

Joy and Bill also took a trip back to Niagara Falls, where they honeymooned 50 years ago.
