I want to thank the many drivers in the Partlow area of Spotsylvania County for helping to make my morning bicycle ride a safe and fun experience.

I try to wear reflective vests, blinking lights, and blaze orange colors to aid drivers in seeing me, but it still involves folks paying attention and taking time to look out for their neighbors on the road. I get a lot of friendly waves from drivers, and I initiate smiles and waves, too.

Most bicycle riders ride because they love the experience and maybe have medical reasons to hit the roads via this low-impact, joint-friendly activity. I truly love greeting the day on my bicycle, and hope to be able do so for a long time to come. Thanks, Partlowians!
