BBs shot near schools
Shooting reports
Three area schools were locked down on Tuesday after police responded to reports that teenagers were firing BBs or pellets from behind Fredericksburg Christian School, according to Fredericksburg police.
A witness reported seeing a female with a male who was holding what appeared to be a handgun.
Although the shooting was reported to have taken place while parents were waiting to pick up their kids at Fredericksburg Christian School, no one was struck or injured.
Two nearby city schools--Walker-Grant Middle School and Lafayette Upper Elementary School--also were locked down.
Police found evidence of target shooting and BB pellets in the area.
No suspects were not apprehended, and the investigation is ongoing.
