Robert Louis Howard, 90, of Spotsylvania County passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012. He was born in Walworth, Wis., on Aug. 8, 1922.
Robert graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. He then worked in the trucking industry in Uniontown and Pittsburgh, Pa., Rochester, N.Y., and Boardman, Ohio. He then moved to Annandale, retiring from the federal government, Department of Agriculture. Robert was an avid outdoorsman and a Scoutmaster for Troop 1124.
He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Mary Kufta Howard.
Survivors include their children, William Howard, Katherine McMinn and John Robert Howard; one sister, Sister Therese Howard, M.D.; and grandchildren Steven Howard, Travis Howard, Matthew McMinn, Megan McMinn, Virginia Howard, Henry Howard and George Howard.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at
