City man beaten and stabbed Sunday night
A Fredericksburg man suffered serious, life-threatening injuries in an assault Sunday night at Central Park Townhomes off Fall Hill Avenue in Fredericksburg.
City police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said an unidentified man in his 30s who lives in the development was stabbed multiple times and beaten about 9:45 p.m.
She said the victim apparently had had an earlier altercation with at least one of his assailants.
Three men were taken into custody for questioning in connection with the assault, Bledsoe said.
The victim was taken to Mary Washington Hospital.
The investigation into the incident is continuing, Bledsoe said.
