Linwood Newman, 71, of Colonial Beach passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Davis of Oxon Hill, Md., and Bernice D. Brown of Colonial Beach; sister Jean Newman of Colonial Beach; brother Lepies Newman Jr.; and five grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at noon Friday, Sept. 14, at New Monrovia Baptist Church, Colonial Beach, with the Rev. Welford McDowney officiating. Burial will be in Historyland Memorial Park in King George. Viewing will be from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Cedell Brooks Funeral Home, Port Royal, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
