Jerome Martin Stadulis, M.D., 85, recently of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Dr. Stadulis had worked as a general practice physician in Moorestown, N.J.; in emergency medicine at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, N.J., where he helped start the program; and in industrial occupational medicine for DuPont in Kinston, N.C., and Waynesboro, from which he retired in 1991.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served with the occupation forces after World War II. Dr. Stadulis enjoyed fishing and golf.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Irene M. Stadulis; children Jerry Stadulis and wife Cory Coons, Michael Stadulis and wife Nancy, Tom Stadulis and wife Cindy, Maryalice Snider and husband Jeff and David Stadulis and wife Leedylyn; two sisters, Alma Petrillo and Barbara Kearney and husband David; 10 grandchildren, Emily, Daniel, Marietta, Philip, Benjamin, Sara, Laurel, Noah, Gabrielle and Isabelle; and two stepgrandchildren, Meghan and Leslie.
The family will have a rosary service from 6:30 to 6:45 p.m. and receive friends for a viewing from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A Mass of celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Mary's Shelter or the Paul Stefan Foundation.
