Wanted: Candidates who will lead

I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican; I am an American. As an American, I am tired of listening to rhetoric and mudslinging by those who believe they can lead us.

I am tired of personal lives being dissected so as to avoid discussing the real issues that are troubling our country--the need for economic growth being driven by the private sector, not the government hiring people; confidence that our families are protected, but without the sacrifice of our personal liberties; the ability to worship without fear of reprisal from our neighbors; and the ability of government to collect only the revenues needed to support these items. Nothing more, nothing less.

These are basic issues. It would be great if those who claim they want to lead us would put their solutions to these issues into a white paper that we could easily understand and to which they would be held accountable, with no loopholes. Where are those candidates?
