Two young people were killed and four were injured after a car ran off Garrisonville Road in North Stafford early Saturday morning.

Stafford County residents Stephanie Parnell, 15, and Vincent Anthony Anguiano-Ayala, 23, both died at the scene of the 3 a.m. wreck, said Virginia State Police Sgt. Les Tyler.

Parnell was in the front passenger seat, and Anguiano-Ayala was on the right side of the back seat when the eastbound 2002 Ford Taurus they were riding in ran off a winding stretch of Garrisonville Road to the right and struck two trees just east of Green Acre Drive.

Neither victim was wearing a seat belt, Tyler said.

The car was driven by 18-year-old Stafford resident Alex Christopher Hablas, Tyler said. He has been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter and one count each of reckless driving and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Hablas was taken to Mary Washington Hospital following the wreck.

Garrisonville was shut down for six hours after the wreck for cleanup and investigation. Police believe that speed played a role in the wreck, but that alcohol did not.

Also injured in the wreck and taken to Mary Washington for treatment were a 15-year-old Stafford boy whose name was not released because he is a juvenile, 18-year-old Tony Dotson of Stafford and 18-year-old Alicia Marie Robillard of Spotsylvania, who Tyler said was riding on Dotson's lap in the back center seat at the time of the crash.

Tyler did not have information on the severity of the injuries suffered by the four people taken to the hospital. A hospital official said Dotson was treated and released Saturday. No further information was available.

State Police Trooper J.P. Kletzke investigated the wreck along with a state police accident reconstruction team. Stafford sheriff's and fire personnel, as well as Virginia Department of Transportation crews, all assisted with the response.
