SPECIAL EVENT

10th annual Stonewall Jackson 20-mile Run, Oct. 6, 7:15 a.m. Registration deadline is Sept. 21. Entry fees are $55 for registration by Sept. 21, $45 after Sept. 21 and $65 race day registration. For details, call 540/507-7532 or 540/507-7533.

Phone Calls from Santa's Helpers, Dec. 5-6, 6-7:30 p.m., $3 per call. Open to ages 3 to 6, Spotsylvania residents only. Limited to 50 children. Registration deadline is Nov. 30.

CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES

GYMFUN, for ages 2 and older, and also intermediate and advanced.

Gymnastics, for children ages 2 and older. $50-$60. Through Oct. 25 and Oct. 30-Dec. 20.

Kinderdance classes, for ages 3-5. Nov. 1-29, Thursdays, 11-11:45 a.m. or noon-12:45 p.m. $50-$60.

SPORTS

Tennis lessons, youth, teen and adult, $50-$60. beginning Sept. 10 and running four weeks.

CLASSES

Senior ADF Fitness Class, for ages 55 and older, Oct. 16-Nov. 27, Tuesday and Thursday, 10:45-11:45 a.m. $75. Registration deadline is Oct. 5.

Today's Technology for Baby Boomers and Beyond, for ages 45 and older, with classes on cellphones/smartphones, computers, GPS, email and more. Classes begin in September and run through November. Fees vary.

Tabata Fitness Classes, for ages 16 and older, through Oct. 11 and Oct. 16-Nov. 27. $75-$85 or $10 per walk-in.

Ballet classes, ages 3 and older, Sept. 12-Dec. 5.

Basic Dog Obedience Class, Oct. 21-Nov. 25. Sundays, 9-10 a.m. $75-$85. Registration required.

Baton Twirling Class, through Oct. 15, $40-$50.

AARP Driver Safety Program, Oct. 18-19, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. $12-$14.

Zumba fitness class, at the Marshall Center, 8800 Courthouse Road, for ages 18 and older. $50 per session or $7 per class for walk-ins. Through Oct. 11 and Oct. 16-Nov. 27.

Ballroom dance classes, couples only. $30 per couple. Thursdays, Oct. 11-25, starter classes 7:35-8:35 p.m. and beginner "5 plus" classes, 6:35-7:35 p.m.

Horseback riding for ages 6 and older, Oct. 1-28 at White Buffalo Horse Farm, 4325 Muster Field Road in Culpeper.

The Creative Side art classes for ages 5-18, Oct. 1-Nov. 23.

Tang Soo Do karate for ages 7-adult.
