Dennis V. Jasinsky, 64, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away unexpectedly while on vacation in Emerald Isle, N.C.
Born in Oak Park, Ill., he was the son of the late Walter William Jasinsky and Marian Teresa Lucht Jasinsky. When he was 5, his parents moved to Richmond. He graduated from Huguenot High School in 1965.
He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the artillery at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Following his discharge, he served in the U.S. Marine Reserves and returned to Richmond, where he entered the automobile business.
He married the former Kelly Burgess of Richmond in 1982. They moved to Fredericksburg, where he served as president of the local chapter of the National Association of Home Builders.
He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Kelly B. Jasinsky; his daughter, Victoria Jasinsky; his brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Pat Jasinsky; his nieces, Abigale and Brittany Jasinsky; his nephew, Justin Jasinsky; grand-nephew Carter Stockton; and six grandchildren.
