Regarding Richard Amrhine's Sept. 16 "Eyes Open" column: At last, someone writes what I have been thinking all along. I agree with every point he made about the upcoming election.

I agree with his statement "I don't really see how there is any choice at all." And by the way, yes, I am better off today than I was four years ago. I am retired and my investments have slowly recovered.

I don't understand how gullible so many people seem to be. Why on earth would they to want to elect a president that would go back to the policies that put us into the mess we found ourselves in four years ago? It must be amnesia.
