Joshua Crupi

Joshua Crupi, 86, of Fredericksburg, formerly of Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012.

Mr. Crupi was a Past Patron of Electa Chapter 2 Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Anacostia Masonic Lodge 21 and Capitol Forest 104, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, all of Washington, D.C.

Survivors include his children, Patricia Slater, Steven Crupi (Christine), Pamela White (Timothy), and Gregory Crupi; his grandchildren, Randa and James Slater (Stephanie), Adam, Timothy (Sherri) and Kelly Crupi, and Danielle and Alexander White; his great-granddaughters, Abigayle and Keely Slater; his sisters-in-law, Jennie and Louise Crupi; and his brothers-in-law, David Ellington and Charles Francis.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Delores; his parents, Carmelo and Veneranda Crupi; his sister, Josephine Francis; and his brothers, Joseph and John Crupi.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Lake of the Woods Church, Locust Grove. Following the service, there will be a traditional Italian spaghetti feast at the Legacy Woods Social Center in honor of his Italian heritage.

Mr. Crupi donated his body to the Virginia State Anatomical Program.
