The marriage of Miss Amanda Kristen Rogerson to Mr. Brian Alan McCleese took place on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Keswick Vineyards in Keswick. The Rev. Brian Purcell officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Fred Rogerson of Richmond. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilson Oliver of Hampton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rogerson of Newport News.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Jesse McCleese of Heathsville and Ms. Robin Mary Martin of Stafford County. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Martin of Weyers Cave and Mr. and Mrs. John Paul McCleese of Louisa.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Miss Brittany Rogerson of Washington, D.C., served as her sister's maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Tamsin Harrington of Alexandria, Dr. Marie Guerraty of Philadelphia, Miss Sayako Earle of Storrs, Conn., Ms. Page Howle of Brooklyn, N.Y., Ms. Molly Barnett of Boulder, Colo., and Miss Anna Petrini of Richmond.
Mr. Daniel McCleese of Stafford, brother of the groom, served as the best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Jack Hylan and Mr. Joseph Hylan, both of Fredericksburg, stepbrothers of the groom, Mr. Ron Allen of Stafford, and Mr. Robert McElwee III of Fairfax.
Music for the ceremony was provided by the Linden Trio of Charlottesville. Barbara S. Lundgren of Scottsville was the event planner.
The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held at Michie Tavern, Charlottesville. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a dinner reception at Keswick Vineyards. A luncheon was given in honor of the bride by Mrs. Barry Brigman, Mrs. Kenneth Eastwood, Mrs. Stephen Morrisette and Mrs. Jack McClard, all of Richmond, at the home of Mrs. Brigman. The bride's sister hosted a shower at Fontaine Caffe & Creperie in Alexandria.
The bride is a graduate of St. Catherine's School and the University of Virginia, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She is a nurse at CJW Medical Center in Richmond.
The groom is a graduate of Colonial Forge High School and Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. He is an officer with the Prince William County police department.
The newlyweds honeymooned on Great Exuma Island, Bahamas, and reside in Fredericksburg.
