Betty Doyle Wade, 67, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg after a long illness.
She was born Feb. 2, 1945, in Springfield. Betty enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Christian Fellowship Bowling League for many years. She owned her own small business for several years until she could no longer work outside of the home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Doyle Sr.; her mother, Beulah Taylor Doyle; and brother Howard Marvin Doyle.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Vernon Leroy Wade; two sons, James Anthony Wade and Jeffrey Allen Wade; her daughter, Teresa Lyn Mattaliano; brother Robert L. Doyle Jr.; three sisters, Joyce A. Smith, Shirley M. Banks and Sherry L. Bowling; seven grand-children; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was a beautiful, kind and loving person and will be missed by her family and friends.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, Va. 22193. A service will begin at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Terry Bowling officiating.
